Schalke 04 vs Bayer Leverkusen Preview
From a place in the top four in December, Schalke04's performance in the current calendar year has deteriorated to a point where they find themselves languishing in a lowly 10th spot presently.
Their last success was a 2-0 against Borussia Monchengladbach on January 17. Since then David Wagner's men have gone through 12 games without a win. Their return from the pandemic break has been nothing short of disastrous.

Leverkusen's fine away record has been blemished by its defense that occasionally comes under pressure as was evident in the defeat to Bayern.
