FC Minsk vs Torpedo Zhodino Live Odds

FC Minsk came out of a very impressive win of 1-3 against Slavia Mozyr away at the Junactva Stadium last Saturday.

The visitors from the capital went ahead with the help of Roman Gribovskiy's opener in the 30th minute of play.

Aleksey Zaleskiy doubled the lead 11 minutes after interval in the 56th from a Gribovskiy assist. The 3rd one saw Ognjen Rolovic releasing the ball for Artem Vasiljev to score in the 82nd minute.

FC Minsk could have piled on more goals against a hapless Slavia Mozyr as Uladzimir Khvashchynski went close to scoring on at last two occasions.

Andrey Razin's men after the morale-boosting away win at Mozyr will now host Torpedo Zhodino at the FC Minsk Stadium on Saturday, May the 2nd.

Torpedo, who started the season in confident fashion with 1-0 away and home wins over Shakhtyor and Belshina respectively, were halted in their tracks by Dinamo Minsk courtesy a 0-2 loss.

But Yuri Puntus's men bounced back quickly with a 2-0 victory over Energetyk-BGU and followed it up with 2 goalless draws against BATE Borisov and Ruh Brest.

With just one defeat from their 6 Belarus Premier League (BPL) outings, Torpedo find themselves at a vaunted 4th spot on the table with 11 points and four places above their Saturday's opponents.

As for Minsk's team news, midfielder Oleg Evdokimov who started in Mozyr after missing the previous three matches through  injury, can be expected to feature in 2nd May's clash.

Nineteen-year-old defensive midfielder Sergey Sazonchik was back in the squad but few changes are expected to a settled Minsk side.

For Torpedo, midfielder Ilya Kukharchik remains doubtful and winger Danil Levitsky hasn’t featured this season.

Holding midfielder Nikita Kaplenko returned to the bench for the last two games. One of the mainstays of the side for Zhodino, goalkeeper Vladimir Bushma, will feature on Saturday, having helped his side go through five clean sheets from their six league games.

Bushma's fine saves against BATE and Ruh Brest have helped keep his team in the contests.

Brazilian winger Lipe Veloso has been kept waiting by Puntus for a start after three straight substitute appearances.

Mikhail Afanasjev was replaced by Nikita Nikolaevich at half time against Ruh Brest and his starting spot against Minsk looks doubtful.

Despite being a very difficult side to beat, Torpedo may find the going heavy at the FC Minsk stadium where the hosts have won four of their last five matches and remained undefeated in 10 out of their last 12 games at the home venue.

From the six games they have played this season, FC Minsk have failed to score in three – that includes a 0-3 thrashing at home by BATE.

Torpedo Zhodino have gone through their last 2 outings without finding the back of the net despite Gabriel Ramos missing three golden opportunities to score.
