Spurs Next Manager Odds – No surprise to see Mourinho head the betting as Pochettino replacement
Updated: 09/10/2024
Jose Mourinho has been installed as favourite in the Spurs next manager odds market to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at the crisis hit club.
It will come as no great surprise to see Jose Mourinho installed at the top of the betting odds and favourite with bookie SportNation.bet to succeed Mauricio Pochettino after Tottenham's recent drubbing in the Champions League.
The beleaguered Argentine is the new 6/4 favourite to be the next top flight manager to leave his post – having been 12/1 beforehand – after their 7-2 Champions League humiliation at home to Bayern Munich last night.

This is coupled with the embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat to Colchester United, and the fact they have won just three times in their opening seven league matches.
The Special One – with a whopping 23 pieces of silverware on his CV compared to Poch's zero – is 3/1 to be the man to be the strong character to steer the club back in the right direction amid rumours of squad infighting and wantaway players.
Former Juve boss Max Allegri is 5/1 second favourite, while English hotshot Eddie Howe (6/1) and Leicester's impressive Brendan Rodgers (10/1) are the shortest home grown options to take on one of the most appealing jobs in
football. Leipzig's successful manager Julian Nagelsmann is well priced at 10/1.
Rafa Benitez is 16/1 for a return to England, while Norwich's Daniel Farke (14/1) and Wolves boss Nuno (18/1) are other Premier League managers who could be enticed away from their current sides.
A SportNation.bet spokesman said:
“The betting suggests Mourinho would be the man to bring the good times back to Spurs. They are trophyless since 2008 and the Special One has proven, everywhere he's gone, that he can win. It may be bumpy at times, but you can be sure that were he to take the reins, the trophy room at Tottenham's new stadium won't stay empty for too long.”
