Everton manager betting: Jose Mourinho favourite to replace Marco Silva
Jose Mourinho is the current 4/1 favourite in the latest next Everton manager betting odds market with SportNation.bet
The book is now open on Silva’s replacement in the Goodison Park dugout following their home defeat to Sheffield United and the former Manchester United boss has been installed as the 4/1 favourite, ahead of Eddie Howe (6/1), another man to inflict defeat on Everton this term.
Chris Wilder, fresh from masterminding Saturday’s victory with his Sheffield United side is 16/1 to make the switch, while Sean Dyche is 20/1 to swap Burnley for Merseyside.
A host of managers currently looking after top European clubs make up the rest of the list at 25/1 including RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann, Borussia Dortmund’s Lucien Favre and Ajax’s Erik ten Haag.
Former Toffee gaffers Sam Allardyce and David Moyes are the rank outsiders at 66/1 each.
Meanwhile, Everton’s poor run of form has seen their relegation odds tumble from 100/1 to 20/1 despite investing heavily in their squad in recent times.
A SportNation.bet spokesman said: “It looks like there could be a special replacement lined up to replace Silva at Everton following the club’s latest poor result.
“Mourinho looks itching to get back into management and whilst this appointment would look like a step down, they are flushed for cash and ambitious – with the betting suggesting he can’t be ruled out if and when the Merseyside club start the search for someone to turn the club’s fortunes around.”
