Slutsk  vs Energetik BGU Minsk Live Odds

Slutsk  vs Energetik BGU Minsk Preview

Slutsk maintained their position at the top of the Belarus Premier League table with an inspiring 1-2 away win over favorites Dinamo Minsk last weekend. Dramane Salou's long-range effort and Abdoul Gafar's brilliant finish from an Umar Bala cross clinched the match for the visitors.

Vitaliy Pavlov's men will now look to continue their good run of form when they host Energetik-BGU at the Stadyen Haradski on Friday. The hosts have accumulated 16 points from their 7 BPL outings, 5 of which they have won.

Energetik-BGU have quicky moved to the 4th spot after coming out from a spell of three back-to-back defeats by beating Smolevichy-STI 0-2 in a away fixture. Energetik's victory came on the back of goals from David Tweh who netted with a fine finish and Jasur Yakhshiboev doubled the score line with a penalty in added time.

The team news for Slutsk is that left back Roman Krivulkin is recovering from an injury and looks doubtful for the Friday clash. Centre back Denis Obrazov returns from suspension with Soslan Takulov probably switching to right back. Winger Evgeni Veljko seems doubtful after being replaced by Aleksandr Anyukevich in the first half of the Dinamo Minsk win.

For Energetik, centre back Aleksandr Svirepa is under suspension having been red-carded in the Smolevichy game and is likely to be replaced by 19-year-old Daniil Miroshnikov. Striker Junior Atemengue lost his starting spot to Shakhboz Umarov and could struggle to get back into the final XI. Yakhshiboev will to be the go-to man for Energetik having already netted four times for his side this season.

Slutsk have never lost to their weekend opponents in the 4 encounters they have had so far – they have won 2 and drawn 2. Although Pavlov's sit at the top of the BPL table, they have failed to maintain a clean sheet, having conceded in each of their seven League outings. With defensive midfielder Dramane Salou back from injury, they can expect to tighten things up at the back.

Energetik have been highly inconsistent with their form, winning the first three games of the 2020 season and losing the next three. They came back strongly against a Smolevichy side who can at the best be considered minions. The going for them at the Stadyen Haradski against a much stronger Slutsk could thus get quite tough.
