Sheffield United v Wolverhampton Preview

For both Sheffield United and Wolverhampton, their coming clash at Bramall lane on the evening of Wednesday will be critical as far as their European aspirations go.

More so for Chris Wilder's Blades who currently sit on the 8th spot with 48 points from 33 matches.

Sheffield could be momentarily pushed out of the Top 8 if Tottenham Hotspur were to win against Everton on Monday night – which is what makes their encounter with the Wolves on June 8 so critical.

Moreover, the Wolves are undefeated in their last 5 Premier League games away from home and are definitely better performers on the road much like their Wedneday's opponents who have lost more matches at Bramall Lane this season than away from it.

But then, they have won more games at the venue (8) than those away (4).

The previous League meeting between these sides took place in December 2019 when it finished with a 1-1 draw. Matt Doherty for the Wolves and Lys Mousset for Sheffield were the scorers.
