Both Everton and West Ham have come out of impressive Premier League wins and will battle to stay in the EFL Cup when they face each other off in the fourth round at Goodison Park on the night of September 30th.

Carlo Ancelotti's Everton have made one of their best ever starts to a season winning all their five games across all competitions, while the same cannot be said of the Hammers who succumbed to losses against Bournemouth, Newcastle and Arsenal to begin with.

The Toffees having overcome Salford City and Fleetwood Town in progressing to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup will find the visiting Hammers a much tougher proposition.

New signings James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure have all blended right into the Toffees team, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has had a particularly explosive start to the season with five goals so far.

West Ham's third-round drubbing of Hull was marred by manager Moyes as well as Josh Cullen and Issa Diop being taken ill but the Hammers have prevailed.

Andriy Yarmolenko who struck a brace in the win over Hull is almost certain to make a start and so is Felipe Anderson, who was an unused substitute against Wolves.

Everton with their new signings and a string of impressive wins are in the in-form side but with more hunger, appetite and confidence returning to their ranks, the Hammers will be no pushovers.
