10/11 Nadal Hoping For Final Improvement - (2025)

Rafael Nadal has admitted he can improve his game for Sunday’s Australian Open final after his straight-sets victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas (Nadal 10/11 – Tournament Outright).
The 32-year-old second seed has been in inspirational form at Melbourne Park – despite going into the tournament with injury doubts hanging over his head.
Nadal had not played since losing last September’s US Open final and then pulled out of the Brisbane International at the start of this month because of a thigh strain.
The decision has paid off for the 17-time Grand Slam winner after he breezed past the 20-year-old Greek youngster in their semi-final encounter.
Nadal hit 28 winners, broke 14th seed Tsitsipas’ serve six times and only faced one break point as he romped to a 6-2 6-4 6-0 success in one hour and 46 minutes.
It has been 10 years since Nadal won his only Australian Open title and so he will go into fifth final this weekend looking to make history by becoming the first man in the Open era to win all of the Grand Slam titles twice or more.
The world number two will face the winner of Friday’s semi-final between top seed Novak Djokovic and Louis Pouille (Djokovic 1/20, Pouille 8/1 – Match Result) and accepts that he will have to raise his game again whoever he goes up against.
“It was a great match, it has been a great tournament and I have played very well every day,” Nadal said. “Hopefully I can play better than that.”
Odds subject to change.
