Holloway bounces back

Max Holloway defended his featherweight title with an impressive striking display against Frankie Edgar at UFC 240.

Having lost to Dustin Poirier in April for the interim lightweight belt, Holloway bounced back to take the decision with all three judges seeing the fight 50-45, 49-46 and 48-47 in his favour.

“Frankie’s a true warrior. Give it up for this guy,” Holloway shouted to the Edmonton crowd after his latest win.

It was the 27-year-old’s 14 win in his past 15 fights and he continues to stake a claim towards being the greatest featherweight fighter of all time.

McGregor rant

Conor McGregor has continued his war of words with Khabib Nurmagomedov by labelling the Russian a ‘P***y fighter’.

‘Notorious’ was submitted by Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in October and has since posted his latest attack on social media about the lightweight champion.

“Herb my man he’s tryna sniff my jock strap here it’s f*****g round 1. Stand this s**t up. P***y fighter. Panic panic,” he tweeted.

“We all saw you panic s**t yourself on the back of that bus. Riddled in panic. I might actually be the Riddler instead.”

However, the bizarre rant has not gone down well with fans – who have branded McGregor ’embarrassing’.

McGregor could make a return to the UFC in early 2020, according to Dana White.

Bully boy

Cris Cyborg has accused UFC president Dana White of being a ‘bully’.

Cyborg, a former featherweight champion picked up a unanimous decision victory over previously undefeated  Felicia Spencer in the UFC 240 co-main event.

White had previously said he doesn’t believe Cyborg truly wants a rematch with Amanda Nunes and even said she is leaving to get easier fights in another promotion.

The Brazilian has hit out at White, pointing out the less than amicable relationship they share.

“A lot of things going on, having a lot of issues, me and UFC,” Cyborg remarked at the post fight press conference.

“I’m not complain about anything, but it’s not just the fight. Because the people, the media don’t see the things inside but a lot of things have to work on for me to continue to stay.

“Everybody knows that I don’t have the best relationship with UFC. I don’t have the best relationship with Dana White.

“He’s bully me around, bully me on the internet. I suffer bullying everywhere because of this. He never said he’s sorry to me about this.”
