The start of the 2019 NFL season is now just days away, and we take a look at the NFC West in our latest preview, with the Los Angeles Rams 4/7 favourites to win the title.

Sean McVay’s men have topped the standings during the last two campaigns, and they finished 13-3 last season before reaching the Super Bowl.

New England Patriots proved too much for the Rams in the end, and Bill Belichick’s men are priced at 6/1 to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy in February.

The Rams dominated the division last year, and they did very little in the off-season with their squad still full of attacking talent.

Lamarcus Joyner and Ndamukong Suh have moved on, but they have signed Eric Weddle and Clay Matthews to replace them. Running-back Todd Gurley is reportedly fit and ready to go, and McVay’s team should go very close once again.

Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks are next in the division betting market at 3/1, and they will be hoping to build on last season’s 10-6 campaign.

The Seahawks were beaten in the playoffs by Dallas last season, and they have since lost All-Pro safety Earl Thomas.

They have proven they can survive without him, but his experience in the locker room will be missed. Quarterback Russell Wilson will need to produce more heroics in order to guide his team into the playoffs, but some promising signings were made in the draft.

Next up in the NFC West betting is the San Francisco 49ers and they will be one team to watch this season. The 49ers revamped their squad in a number of areas during the draft and free agency, but the most significant boost for the team is Jimmy Garoppolo’s return to full fitness.

Their season ended early once he got injured during the last campaign and, at 9/2, they appear to offer excellent value for the outright betting this season.

Arizona Cardinals (28/1 – To win NFC West) have a new quarterback after the addition of Kyler Murray, but the rookie will be under immense pressure in the next few months.

New head coach Kliff Kingsbury has already helped Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield develop during their college days, but it is still early days to suggest they can compete at the top of the division.

After being active during the draft and free agency, the Cardinals should improve but punters may want to wait a few weeks before deciding if they are the real deal.
