NFL Picks Week 4 and Previews

Giants vs Buccaneers

NFL Picks Week 4 - Giants vs BuccaneersThe New York Giants visit the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday afternoon hoping to record there first win of the season and the summit that was held on Wednesday night which had the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, several team owners and players discussing the racial/social injustice at the forefront of these protests.

Defensive captain Jonathan Casillas was also in attendance and said Mara made a request of the Giants players.

“We were basically talking about what we’re going to do to move forward and how we’re going to approach the whole kneeling situation. It was a whole bunch of opinions shared. There was nothing we decided we’re going to do collectively,” Casillas said via NJ.com. “I think it was a very conducive meeting.” “John Mara said he requests that we all stand, but he’s in full support of anybody that kneels. At the end of the day, you can’t ask for more than that.

Back to the game, Given how badly the Giants have played this season, it’s surprising to see anyone stake there hard earned money on them in this match. However, with the gravity of their situation which I believe is already in an emergency condition, some people believe that it will be enough to spur the players to get their first win.

Still, the vast majority around the league are going with Tampa Bay including me, but even those experts aren’t anticipating a blowout but we hope that for the sake of there fans and there careers they pick up a win.

Pick: Tampa Bay

Raiders vs Broncos

NFL Picks Week 4 - Raiders vs BroncosFollowing the miserable loss the Raiders had last Sunday, you cant but imagine whats going through the mind of some players. Getting to the Super Bowl is out of the question at the moment. The only thing the Raiders coach should be concerned about is Team morale. Its OK to lose a game but its not okay to lose a game by 17 points.

It’s important not to get too caught up in that defeat in the sense that there opponents also had a weekend to forget. After showing a few glimpses of improvement against the cowboys a few weeks back, they succumbed to the bills last weekend.

Firstly, History favors Raiders over the Broncos in this match because the Raiders haven’t lost back to back since Week 11 of the 2015 season. And prior to the Broncos victory in the 2016 finale, facing the Raiders without key player Derek Carr, they were on a losing streak last season.

Derek Carr said the loss last Sunday should be put on him. We all know that he says that after every loss but this was arguably one of his worst performances. Derek only managed a passer rating of 52.0 against the 95.0 he delivers on a good day.

“Anytime, like anybody, you get punched in the mouth, you have to fight back,” Derek Carr said this week. “Obviously, if you got hit, you didn’t do something right, you have to fight back and figure out what it was.”

Washington got to face Carr coming off the Raiders win against the Jets in which they scored the most points since Derek Carr arrived in Oakland. And perhaps his preparation fell off because of it. Perhaps they were looking past Washington to Denver. Well, Denver is here now and recent history says the Raiders will be at their best.

Pick: Raiders

Colts vs Seahawks

NFL Picks Week 4 - Colts vs SeahawksWe are hoping for another epic showdown in the NFL this weekend when the Seahawks take on the Colts. NFL games this weekend are going to be lit because of the issues that trailed players last weekend. A lot of players like we know did not stand for the national anthem and people have different views on this. The NFL is a big game and I don’t think that the players should take out there frustrations on our national anthem and national flag. Anyways, they made a statement last week and its time to put all that behind us and get set for action.

Seattle is currently leading in the NFL at the moment. The Seahawks started there season by losing at Green Bay which they followed up with a resounding victory over San Francisco, before losing at Tennessee last week 33-27 so can they pull off another victory against the colts this weekend?

Keyman Russell Wilson is expected to produce another outstanding performance like he did against the titans even though it couldn’t save them from losing. Russell Wilson tossed four TDs against the Titans and Baldwin topped over 100 yards. The Colts are just 21st in sacks with six, so Wilson could have a clean pocket Sunday night.

Stat attack

Seattle is 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS the last eight times it's hosted a team from the eastern half of the country. Colts, on the other hand, is 0-4 both SU and ATS in its last four trips to the west coast. The line on this game seems a bit inflated, but the smart money still sides with the Seahawks for our NFL Picks Week 4.

Pick: Seahawks
