From a big upset win to dominant road victories, Week 6 best picks was full of amazing surprises.
There are many enticing matchups in store for Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season. Down below, we will be going over some of the best picks to make through this exciting week of football!
Best Picks for Week 7 NFL 2020
The first game features a team that has been on here regularly, the New York Jets. They match up against the Buffalo Bills here.
Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets
Sunday 10/25 – 01:00 PM
New York was just shut out by the Miami Dolphins in their previous game and showed almost no potential both offensively and defensively.
They may continue to be without their starting quarterback Sam Darnold in this game which means that veteran Joe Flacco will get another shot to lead this offense to victory.
But through no fault of his own, this offense just doesn’t have any talent. Their rushing attack is among the worst in the league and their only viable receiver is Jamison Crowder.
They have a porous offensive line and have been consistently unable to protect whoever is back there at quarterback. Their defense is somehow just as bad.
They have a few solid players on that side of the ball but overall, they have been terrible on all three stages. From the defensive line, to the linebackers and the safeties this team has consistently allowed their opponent to put up big numbers on them.
It doesn’t help their case that they play one of the best teams in the AFC this season in the Bills. The Bills have been falling off the tracks in their past few games as they haven’t played nearly to their potential.
They still have a potential MVP candidate quarterback in Josh Allen who should be able to get back on track against this terrible Jets secondary.
There isn’t much else to say here, the Bills should completely dismantle the Jets in this matchup. Unfortunately, I just can’t find any positives for the Jets so far this season.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos
Sunday 10/25 – 04:25 PM
Next game up is the divisional battle between the reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs and their rivals the Denver Broncos.
Kansas City has played almost as well as they did to end the season last year, coming out of the gates 5-1.
It appears that they have completely ignored the Super Bowl hangover rumors that were spreading when the season first began.
Their offense has been clicking in both the passing attack and the rushing attack. They will be getting an even bigger boost to their offense when former all-pro running back Le’Veon Bell joins the team after being signed their last week.
It will be incredibly hard to slow down Patrick Mahomes and company for any team, nevertheless an injured Broncos defense.
As Denver is missing Von Miller, Jurrell Casey and A.J. Bouye just on the defensive side.
All three of those players missing have caused Denver to struggle at times throughout this young season, outside of a few standout games from the team including a huge defensive performance in their win against the New England Patriots last week.
Because of how high powered the Chiefs offense is, the Broncos will need to match their scoring efficiency and try to keep up with them while missing Melvin Gordon, Courtland Sutton and possibly Noah Fant.
There is just too much going against Denver in this matchup for them to win as the Chiefs should be able to fully take advantage of their missing players en route to a big division win.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday 10/25 – 04:25 PM
Lastly, we have the matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Jaguars have played better than many expected when heading into the season but unfortunately it has not translated into wins, as they sit at 1-5 on the year.
They are led by Gardner Minshew on offense, he has been able to get the ball down the field effectively almost every game, but they have struggled mightily in the red zone.
It has caused them to settle for field goals far more often then they would like.
To make matters worse, they have cycled through four plus different kickers already in this young season, with all of them missing at least one field goal.
At least they have been able to find some consistent rushing offense though, as undrafted rookie James Robinson has carried the rushing load for Jacksonville since being named the starter a few weeks back.
This offense can be scary at times, but their lack of a kicker has severely hurt them in multiple games. Meanwhile, they match up against the Chargers who have been playing good football so far this season.
Their record may be 1-4 on the season but they have had to go up against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, Drew Brees and the Saints and Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
In each of those games they were able to hold double digit leads until they eventually saw those leads shrink as they lost all of them.
This team has rallied around rookie phenom Justin Herbert as he has been making throws looks easy out there. He has taken this passing attack to an entirely different level and has gotten almost every receiver and tight end involved.
They have struggled greatly on their rushing attack however, since they lost Austin Ekeler to an injury, they haven’t had any consistent rushing offense.
This leaves all of the pressure solely on Herbert to move this ball up and down the field which is a lot for a rookie to handle.
Their defense has been overall pretty good also, even after they lost Derwin James and Melvin Ingram due to injuries. Los Angeles should be able to slow down the Jaguars and force Minshew into mistakes early on.
Each of these teams have played better than their record suggests, and it should be a relatively close game, but it is hard to bet on the Jaguars as they have one of the worst rosters in the entire league.
The Chargers are a good bet here.
