Russell Wilson Best Picks for Week 13 NFL 2020

Updated: 20/11/2024

Week 12 was another interesting week as there were a ton of new developments to keep track of. Sadly, the injuries continue to pile up as a number of key players have been designated to the injury list with a variety of different ailments.

However, we hope the injury bug stops for this week of football as we look ahead at the best picks to make for Week 13 of the 2020 NFL season.

Best Picks for Week 13 NFL 2020

The first game on the list is the battle between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins. This won’t be the most interesting game of the week, but it will allow for a great pick if you happen to be betting on the NFL games.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Miami Dolphins

Sunday, Dec 06, 2020 EST 1.00p

Miami DolphinsThe Bengals are coming off a 19-17 loss to the New York Giants in their last game who were without Daniel Jones for the second half.

Meanwhile, they get a Dolphins team that defeated the winless New York Jets 20-3 in their last matchup without Tua Tagovailoa. For the Bengals, they don’t have anything going for them heading into this matchup as their new franchise quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of the year with a torn ACL, devastating this already average offense.

They may also be missing Joe Mixon, which will continue to hurt their almost non-existent rushing attack. As for their defense, they have done a fairly good job this season, but you cannot expect much from a unit that is on the team almost 24/7.

This is where the Dolphins will take advantage. Their offense is already young and on the rise heading into this game and regardless of who is their starting quarterback, they have the chance to explode on any given Sunday.

They also happen to boast one of the best defenses in the NFL and have been able to get a takeaway in 17 straight football games. Take the Dolphins with a lot of confidence here.

Pick: Dolphins

Las Vegas Raiders vs New York Jets

Sunday, Dec 06, 2020 EST 1.00p

This next game features the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets. Boy it is hard to be a Jets fan this season, after their 20-3 loss with Sam Darnold back at quarterback, it is hard to find any positives heading into this matchup.

Las Vegas RaidersTheir rushing attack is only decent because of ageless wonder Frank Gore and their passing attack had more success under veteran quarterback Joe Flacco than it did with their franchise quarterback Darnold.

This also hurts their young and inexperienced defense because it causes them to be out on the field for far longer than they should be, causing fatigue. But luckily for them, the Raiders are coming off one of their worst losses in the past few season.

Getting crushed by the Atlanta Falcons 43-6. Atlanta was only 3-7 entering that game and was also missing their superstar wide receiver Julio Jones.

Las Vegas turned the ball over almost every drive it seemed, as quarterback Derek Carr lost multiple fumbles throughout the game. They did have a few promising drives early on in the ball game but ended up getting stonewalled on both of them, only walking away with two field goals.

It was a completely embarrassing game for a team that is fighting to catch up to the Kansas City Chiefs in their division.

However, Las Vegas is the far better team than the Jets are and should be hungry for a huge bounce back win. Expect this game to be close towards the beginning but once the Raiders find their footing it will be all over.

Pick: Raiders

New York Giants vs Seattle Seahawks

Sunday, Dec 06, 2020 EST 04:05p

Seattle SeahawksNext is the clash between two NFC opponents, the New York Giants and the Seattle Seahawks. The Giants did win their last game against the Bengals but unfortunately lost their franchise quarterback in the process. He is likely to miss this upcoming game which leaves them with Colt McCoy at quarterback.

McCoy will get his chance at commanding one of the worst offenses in the entire league and without superstar running back Saquon Barkley. He will have a decent shot though as they go up against the 32nd ranked defense in the league in the Seahawks.

Seattle won their last game against the Philadelphia Eagles 20-9 with a surprisingly good performance from their defense.

However, after the way they have played this season we have to see more from them in order to expect this every week.

The main reason this is a great pick this week is due to Seattle’s offense. Russell Wilson is playing like the leading MVP candidate this season and has formed a formidable duo with DK Metcalf.

This Seahawks offense is going to rip apart the New York defense all game, gashing them with deep shot after deep shot. All the while the New York offense isn’t going to have enough firepower on that side of the ball in order to keep up with that level of scoring, resulting in a Giants loss and the snapping of their three-game winning streak.

Pick: Seahawks

Lastly, we have the Washington Football Team against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh SteelersPittsburgh has yet to play their game against the Baltimore Ravens as of right now so I can not inform you all of that game, but they are currently undefeated. Their defense is arguably the best unit in the entire league while their offense is filled with weapons from Chase Claypool to James Connor to Juju Smith-Schuster.

They are bound to have some trouble this week against a Washington defense that is actually ranked third in the NFL coming into this week. Washington dominated the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day thanks to their defense and they look to slow down this explosive offense this week.

Although, the Washington offense is going to be completely blanketed in this matchup due to them not having enough talent on that side of the ball. Their offensive line isn’t that great while Alex Smith hasn’t been terrific either.

Pittsburgh is going to limit Antonio Gibson and Terry Mclaurin and force other players to step up which likely isn’t going to happen. Pittsburgh will get another gritty win this week.

Pick: Pittsburgh
