What is a Challenge Bet?

An example of how @AndyRobsonTips runs his Challenge bets

The main idea behind a challenge bet is to turn a small stake into a considerably larger one. Transforming £10 into £1,000 or £25 into £2,000 are both common examples of this.

Odds are traditionally short for the duration of a challenge with something between 2/5 (1.4) and 8/13 (1.6) providing up to 10 steps to get you to from £10 to £1,000.

At each step, users rollover the entire return from the previous bet. For example, start with £10 on a 1.6 odds bet and you win £16. You then bet the £16 on the next 1.6 odds bet. This continues all the way up to £1,000.

Here is how it would play out for a £10 to £1,000 challenge at 1.6 odds:

Bet 1 £10 > £16

Bet 2 £16 > £25.60

Bet 3 £25.60 > £40.96

Bet 4 £40.96 > £65.53

Bet 5 £65.53 > £104.85

Bet 6 £104.85 > £167.77

Bet 7 £167.77 > £268.43

Bet 8 £268.43 > £429.49

Bet 9 £429.49 > £687.19

Bet 10 £687.19 > £1,099.51
