Erling Haaland

Updated: 20/11/2024

If reports are to be believed, Bundesliga stalwarts Borussia Dortmund are seeking a staggering £180 million for their star striker Erling Haaland.

The 20-year-old Norwegian prodigy has already raked up 33 goals from his 31 appearances for his club across all competitions this season – which is why clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are evincing serious interest in the youngster.

Manchester United have still not extended Edinson Cavani's contract and there are rumours linking the ex-PSG forward with a move that could take him back to South America at the end of the season. With a full-time center-forward in their plans, Haaland seems to be the perfect choice for United despite his outlandish price tag.

Old Trafford is reportedly making a a £68.5 million bid for Atletico midfield star Marcos Llorente.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has already got 9 La Liga goals this season and is one of the contributors to the club's great domestic run in the current year. Llorente's contract binds him with Atletico till 2024 with wages of €90,000 (£77,000) a week.

As reports suggest, Llorente is not keen on moving to England as he is happy at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are showing serious interest in RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka, who quickly burst into the scene following the sale of Haaland to Dortmund last season. The 22-year-old Daka has performed superbly since then and his impressive performances for the Austrian outfit and a hunger for goals have attracted the attention of numerous clubs from all over Europe.

With Gareth Bale letting know his plans for a return to Real Madrid for the final year of his contract, Tottenham have been in search of a suitable forward as a replacement for the Welshman and are looking at the likes of VFB Stuttgart's Nicholas Gonzalez, Jonathan Bamba of French club Lille and Palmeiras midfielder Gabriel Menino.

Spurs have been especially tracking Stuttgart's Gonzalez and monitoring his progress at the Bundesliga outfit as Bale's season-long loan is approaching its end. Bale has one year left on his Real contract and there are doubts over the 31-year-old winger's return to Spurs for one more season.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reported peeved over with Manchester United after they entered the race for 24-year-old Villareal defender Pau Torres. But Chelsea are supposedly ready to ‘hijack' United's move for the center-back.

Villa has a €45 million release clause in place for Torres, but it seems the La Liga outfit are willing to listen to any player-plus-cash offers for the defender.

AC Milan director and Italian legend Paolo Maldini seems to be immensely satisfied with Fikayo Tomori's performances since the defender joined the Serie A outfit on loan from Chelsea in January but believes the buy option of £26mt for the 23-year-old English center-back is “very high”.

Tomori fell out of favour under previous Chelsea boss Frank Lampard after he signed ace defender Thiago Silva from PSG and opted to keep Antonio Rudiger last summer. Honorary vice-president Franco Baresi says AC Milan will “do everything” to sign Tomori permanently from Chelsea as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
