Solskjaer backs ‘fantastic’ Pogba – Betfred Blog

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he has never had any problems with Paul Pogba and claims there is an “agenda” against the midfielder (4/9 Real Madrid – Pogba Club After Summer Transfer Window).
France international Pogba is widely expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, with Real Madrid understood to be interested.
The 26-year-old added fuel to the fire by suggesting “now could be a good time to move elsewhere” but he has linked up with United for their pre-season tour of Australia, Singapore and China.
The former Juventus man’s comments have led to criticism from the media and fans alike and his agent, Mino Raiola, feels the club have failed to support him.
“The player has done nothing wrong,” he told Talksport. “It is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this. There will soon be a satisfying solution for all parties.”
But Solskjaer says United are yet to receive an offer for their academy graduate and has moved to defend Pogba during a pre-season new conference in Perth, Australia.
The Norwegian has suggested that Pogba is likely to stay put, insisting he has no issues whatsoever with the player and the media are behind a supposed fall out with Jesse Lingard.
“It’s an agenda against Paul, he’s a great, great professional, never been any problems, he has a heart of gold,” he added.
“Jesse and Paul yesterday walking around was portrayed as a fight between the two boys and I know you’re here to sell players and stories but they’re all professional.
“Paul’s never put himself out of the team, always given his best and I can’t report anything other than that agents talk all the time.
A return to Juventus (7/2 Club After Summer Transfer Window), where he spent four seasons between 2012 and 2016, has also been reported but that looks unlikely following the Old Lady signing both Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot this summer.
