Poch allays Alli injury fears

Mauricio Pochettino has dispelled fears that Dele Alli is in any kind of danger of missing the Champions League final (Tottenham 11/4, Draw 12/5, Liverpool EVS – Match Betting).
Tottenham have been hit by a crippling injury list this season, and Alli has had his fair share of problems when being forced to miss a number of key games.
The forward was also taken off at half-time on the final day of the domestic season against Everton, sparking fears he had picked up another issue.
Normally it would not be a concern, but with the Champions League final fast approaching on June 1, Spurs fans were anxiously waiting for news on the attacker’s condition.
However, Pochettino has allayed any fears and suggested Alli is just tired after being made to play every game in recent weeks due to the club’s injury problems.
“He didn’t start in the warm-up, he was feeling strange and then his performance was very poor in the first half because he can’t cope with the situation,” Pochettino said.
“So because of caution, he was out. I think it is not a problem. We need to assess him, but I think he was tired, but for the circumstance again we played with him.
“I think in a normal condition he was for sure not starting the game, but we started with him and, before that problem starts something, at half-time we made the change.”
Spurs (13/8 to win Champions League) are also hoping to have star striker Harry Kane back for the huge showdown with Liverpool, as the influential skipper continues his rehabilitation from an ankle injury.
