Mourinho tips Barca/Juve Champions League final

Jose Mourinho does not feel a Premier League team will win this season’s Champions League and has tipped either Barcelona or Juventus to lift the trophy (Barcelona 7/2, Juventus 10/3 – Outright Betting).

Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have all made it through to the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition, with Porto and Ajax making up the eight teams left standing (City 9/4f – Outright Betting).

“Juventus and Barcelona are the two great candidates for the competition and will reach the final,” he told AFP.

Barca square off with the Red Devils and are 21/20 to emerge victorious from the first leg of their clash at Old Trafford, with United on offer at 5/2, but the Catalans will be wary of the hosts after their superb comeback against Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool play Porto, while Tottenham and City go head to head in an all-Premier League affair, but Mourinho is convinced that the quartet of English clubs will not be seen at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano (Juve and Barca 11/2 to play in final together).

“Juventus and Barcelona have experience, talent and a special player each,” he added. “There are these special players, the teams end up becoming the best.”

Mourinho is not always right, however, and an all-English final can be backed at 13/8.
