Man United boss to be sacked this summer?

Updated: 16/09/2024

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the saviour after taking over at the turn of the year, and became a hero in March after he masterminded a historic win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

But now he sees his Old Trafford future in doubt and is just 10/1 to not be in the dugout next season.

Manchester United have only won two games since that night in Paris. The 4-0 thumping at the hands of Everton last weekend has put the gaffer’s job in jeopardy already.

The Red Devils are sure to give their manager a war chest of funds this summer – but the odds of Ole being out of door by the end of 2019 have come in from 4/1 to just 3/1.

Alex Apati of Bookmaker said: “He may have only just signed a permanent deal at United, but that hasn’t stopped the odds of Solskjaer leaving in the coming weeks from tumbling over the last few days.”

A lot will ride on whether United bag a top-four place and Champions League football for next season. They face a scrap at 11/2 with rivals Chelsea (11/8) and Arsenal (4/6) which could secure the manager’s future.
