Guardiola wary of 10/1 Eagles

Updated: 20/09/2023
Manager Pep Guardiola knows Manchester City are in for a tough afternoon when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday (Palace 10/1, City 1/3, draw 9/2 – Match Betting).
The Premier League champions take on the Eagles before title rivals Liverpool host Chelsea at Anfield.
The Citizens will hope to take all three points and return to the top of the standings, heaping the pressure back on Jurgen Klopp’s Reds to respond.
Guardiola’s men have won 16 and lost just one match at home all season, but that defeat came at the hands of Palace back in December and, with that in mind, the Spanish tactician has made it clear there will be no complacency in south London for the return fixture.
“Selhurst Park is always difficult, not just for the stadium itself and the quality of the players they have,” he said. “In all departments they are really well organised and they have quality players to do actions one against one, one against two, one against three.”
The Premier League title race looks set to go right down to the wire, with City and Liverpool streets ahead of the chasing pack, and one slip-up could be the difference between lifting the trophy in May and a runner-up berth (City 8/15, Liverpool 6/4 – Outright Betting).
Guardiola and his men have done it before and will leave no stone unturned in their request for more silverware.
“There are six games to finish the Premier League,” Guradiola added. “We know what we are playing for and we are going to prepare well.”
Odds subject to change.
