The big blow for Leicester going into the Goodison Park clash will be the absence of Jamie Vardy who will be out of action for 10 days owing to a hernia operation. Despite Kelechi Iheanacho looking the apparent choice to fill in for Vardy, Brendan Rodgers could choose to start with Ayoze Perez along with regulars James Maddison and Harvey Barnes to give him support upfront. The Foxes' injury list includes long-term absentees Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu but still not in contention for places in the starting XI.

As for Everton, the return of Lucas Digne and Alex Iwobi from injury will provide a major boost for Ancelotti. Allan and Fabian Delph still remain sidelined while Jean-Philippe Gbamin remains a long-term absentee.

Everton probable starting XI:

Pickford (goal); Holgate, Godfrey, Keane, Digne; Doucoure, Gomes; Iwobi, Rodriguez, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin

Leicester City probable starting XI:

Schmeichel (goal); Castagne, Fofana, Evans, Justin; Albrighton, Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison, Barnes; Perez

One concern for Ancelotti will be his side's form at Goodison Park, having lost three of their last five in the Premier League at the home venue. But a return to full strength could very well negate this shortcoming for the Toffees. As for Leicester, only Manchester United have collected more points on the road than the Foxes. With only one loss and seven wins, Brendan Rodgers have been nothing short of spectacular in away fixtures. They might be a bit weakened by the talismanic Vardy's absence on Wednesday, but they look the likelier side to take three points.
