English Premier League preview: Everton v Leeds United – Goodison Park – Saturday, 28 November, 2020 – 17:30 BST
Everton v Leeds United Preview
Everton are all set to host Leeds at Goodison Park with both sides seeking desperately to win. Victories have been hard to come by for both sides of late. Carlo Ancelotti's Everton after having got off to their best ever start to a Premier League with wins in their 4 initial outings, suddenly lost their way, crashing to three successive defeats following that.
Only a narrow 2-3 win against minions Fulham last weekend prevented a fourth one for the reeling Toffees.
Leeds too have a similar story after their long-awaited return to the Premier League. After showing great promise in their first three outings, Marcelo Bielsa's men have gone through their next six fixtures with a solitary win and three defeats.
Their last game was a much better performance and they should have come out winners in a 0-0 draw with Arsenal.

For Everton, the team news is that left-back Lucas Digne has also been ruled out and Alex Iwobi could well come in to fill his place. Right-back Seamus Coleman is still out with a long-term injury. Apart from that, the Toffees seem to have no fitness issues as such.
Their attack as usual will be spearheaded by Dominic Calvert-Lewin who will look to break Les Ferdinand's record of 13 goals in the first 10 games of a Premier League season.
Patrick Bamford will lead the Leeds attack at the other end as Biesla will probably stick to the same line-up that played Arsenal last weekend.
Everton probable starting lineup:
Pickford (goal); Godfrey, Mina, Keane; Iwobi, Allan, Doucoure, Kenny; Rodriguez, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison
Leeds United probable starting lineup:
Meslier (goal); Ayling, Koch, Cooper, Alioski; Raphinha, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Harrison; Bamford
Everton v Leeds United Verdict
Ancelotti's men appear to have recovered from a recent aberration and will now be looking to build some momentum heading into December and try and try to get closer to the Top four. The Toffees are currently at the 6th spot with 16 points and just one behind Southampton who are on the 5th.
The problem with Leeds are they are leaking goals at wanton and have conceded more goals than anyone save relegation candidates Fulham and West Brom. Against attackers like Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Jamie Rodriguez that could be a serious bother.
However they can hope to make up for their defensive shortcomings by attempting to get a few of their own backed by Biesla's attacking style of play. The UK bookmakers odds are very much on Everton, though, to take three points from Saturday's Goodison Park game.
