Ljubisa Tumbakovic is finding it hard to find any fault with Gareth Southgate’s (pictured) England side as he tries to lead Montenegro to a shock win.

Montenegro head coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic says his side will face an England team with no weaknesses when they meet in their Euro 2020 qualifier in Podgorica on Monday (Match Betting – Montenegro 9/1, Draw 19/5, England 4/11).

England kicked off their qualifying campaign in style on Friday night with an emphatic 5-0 victory over the Czech Republic and that result continued the feel-good factor that surrounds Gareth Southgate’s side following their run to the World Cup semi-finals and their progress in the UEFA Nations League (England 15/8 Nations League Outright).

Montenegro began their qualification campaign for next summer’s Euros with a credible 1-1 draw against Bulgaria and they will fancy their chances of reaching the finals of a first major international tournament.

Head coach Tumbakovic, who celebrated three years in charge of Montenegro in January, is not feeling too optimistic about Monday’s clash, however, as he does not believe there are any weaknesses within the England squad.

Asked if he sees any areas to exploit, Tumbakovic replied: “I’m really trying but I can’t. We in the coaching team who deal with the players are realistic.”

The Brave Falcons do have a decent record against England, drawing three of their four previous meetings, including both times they have met in Montenegro, but Tumbakovic thinks those past results will have little bearing on Monday’s match.

The 66-year-old added: “Things that happen in the past are just nice results for Montenegro, tomorrow we will play a match with totally different players, new coaches, with different capabilities and different ideas from both teams.

“The absolute favourite in this game is England but if we enter this game like losers, then why are we even playing? I will prepare the team in a different way. Would that be brave or crazy – I don’t know, but it’s in the spirit of sports.”

Odds subject to change.
