Wednesday’s Premier League Tips: Wins for Fulham, Liverpool and Spurs?

Updated: 19/11/2024

Odds and preview for the Premier League

The Premier League’s midweek schedule continues tonight with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea all looking to keep up the heat on league leaders Manchester City.

There’s also the small matter of Manchester United at home to Arsenal, which we’ve previewed in-depth here. For all the rest of today’s tips, read on…

Burnley v Liverpool

The league’s tightest defence meets one of the division’s weakest attacks in our first match. While Liverpool have conceded just five times this term, Burnley have netted only 13 at the other end.

Four of those came in a single match against AFC Bournemouth. So it’s difficult to see the Clarets troubling Jurgen Klopp’s men too much here.

The Reds are 1/4 to take all three points, with 19/20 about them to Win to Nil for the ninth time this season. Sadio Mane has looked like the visitor’s brightest spark this term. He’s 11/8 Anytime.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea

It’s difficult to know which Wolves side will turn up here. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have taken points off Arsenal, Man United and Man City this term. Yet they’ve lost five of their last six matches.

Chelsea are in prime position to capitalise at 3/4, although the hosts are available at even-money on the Double Chance. Olivier Giroud could get the nod once again here for the visitors.

The Frenchman has three goals in his last two matches in Europe. He’s 6/4 to replicate that Anytime in the league, with Eden Hazard a shorter option at 11/8.

Tottenham Hotspur v Southampton

Matches involving these two tend to produce goals. Each of the last five meetings have seen both teams find the net, with Spurs putting five past their South Coast opponents last time at home.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are 4/11 to bounce back from their North London Derby humbling with three important points here. It’s 19/20 they do so with Over 2.5 Goals in the match.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli tend to enjoy themselves against the Saints. Kane hit a hat-trick in this fixture last year to take his tally to six against Southampton, while Alli has four goals in his last four matches against them.

The former is 4/7 Anytime or 7/4 to Score 2 or More, while Alli is 2/1 Anytime.

Fulham v Leicester City

Leicester have found goals hard to come by lately. So the omission of Jamie Vardy through injury could prove telling ahead of their reunion with Claudio Ranieri at Craven Cottage.

Fulham looked much-improved against Chelsea at the weekend and are 19/10 to take the spoils. They’re 4/1 to Win and Both Teams to Score, with Aleksandar Mitrovic 5/4 Anytime. City’s goalscoring burden will fall on James Maddison at 21/10.

Everton v Newcastle United

The last thing Rafael Benitez needs right now is a trip to Everton. Newcastle have lost eight of their last nine matches against the Toffees, including their last four at Goodison Park.

Marco Silva’s men are 4/7 to prevail in this one. And after winning their last five clashes against the Magpies to nil, it’s 6/4 about the hosts keeping a clean sheet on their way to victory.

Theo Walcott has seven goals in 12 appearances against the North East side and is an 11/5 chance to improve on that record again here.
