Coral racing ambassador previews his rides this weekend

SATURDAY RIDES

12.10 Cheltenham – Swordbill

Swordbill was third in a decent race at Doncaster. Hopefully he will have improved for that experience. He was rated 74 on the Flat. This doesn’t looks as good a race as it sometimes can be.

2.30 Cheltenham – Rockpoint

Rockpoint has been running well. He’s stepping up to three miles which will definitely suit him. He has a little bit to find with some of the opposition, but that’s not beyond the realms of possibility. He’s been unlucky not to get his head in front and hopefully that will change tomorrow. He is going to be a reasonable price in this race but it isn’t the strongest Grade 2 in the world and you would have to give my horse a chance.

3.05 Cheltenham – Queen's Magic

Queens Magic is probably my best ride of the day. She was a good bumper horse and then I rode her when she made her debut over hurdles at Uttoxeter in the summer. She’s been second twice since then. On her bumper form she’d have a good chance. She’s run well around Cheltenham before so I think she’s got a big chance and is my best ride of the day.

SUNDAY RIDES

12.10 Southwell – Corner Creek

I won on Corner Creek over course and distance a couple of runs back. He ran okay around Hereford last time. He can be a bit in and out. You know very early on what kind of ride you are going to have on him. He isn’t the easiest to predict. He does have course and distance form though which is in his favour.

1.10 Southwell – Umbrigado

Umbrigado created a really good impressive on his debut at Uttoxeter. He’s come from the Irish point to point scene and has schooled really well at home. This is the ideal place to start over hurdles and we are really excited about him.

OTHER NEWS

Know The Score

Know The Score is a nice horse. He won really well up at Hexham on Wednesday where I went for one ride and had a nice winner on him. We won’t be seeing the best of him until he goes over fences. I can’t wait to ride him over three miles in a chase.

Thistlecrack

I was hoping to ride Thistlecrack last week but had to go to Hexham on Wednesday. Hopefully I can have a sit on him this week. It’s not essential by any means but I’d certainly like to. I hear from the Tizzard camp that he’s in great form.
