Premier League Boxing Day Betting Tips: Will Arsenal take Chelsea’s top-four spot?

Updated: 19/11/2024

Odds and preview for festive fixtures

There’s a packed Premier League fixture list today. But which teams will be giving their fans a belated Christmas present?

There are three games to enjoy on Sky Sports Premier League as you tuck into your turkey sandwiches. First up is a clash between two promoted sides, as Fulham host Wolves.

Arsenal then travel to Brighton & Hove Albion, before Chelsea attempt to get back on track against Watford. We’ll make sure you’re fully prepared for all three…

Fulham v Wolves (12:30pm)

It’s been tough going for Fulham on their return to the top flight. And their recent record against Wolves doesn’t inspire much confidence here.

The Cottagers won the last game between the two clubs in February, but they’d failed to win any of the nine meetings before that. It’s 13/10 for a Wolves win here.

The West Midlands club have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 outings though, which will give Fulham hope. There’s 15/4 about Wolves and Both Teams to Score.

Raul Jimenez will lead the line for the visitors. He’s 15/8 to grab a goal. Wing-back Matt Doherty is also 4/1 to score for the third away game running.

Fulham will be looking to Aleksandar Mitrovic to deliver. The big striker is 9/2 favourite to open the scoring or 17/10 anytime.

Brighton v Arsenal (5:15pm)

Brighton beat a very poor Arsenal side in this fixture last season. Can they repeat the feat here?

The Gunners seem to have more steel about them under Unai Emery. And after losing their last away game to Southampton, it’d be a surprise to see them slip up again so soon after.

It’s also worth noting that Arsenal’s three visits to the Amex Stadium since 2013 have all seen Over 2.5 Goals. We go 6/4 for Arsenal and Over 2.5 Goals this time around.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the Premier League’s scoring chart with 12 goals. After bagging a brace at the weekend, he’s 10/3 to open the scoring. Alexandre Lacazette is 11/10 to end a run of four league games without scoring.

Glenn Murray got the winner last time the North Londoners came to town. His aerial presence could cause real problems for an unfamiliar Arsenal defence. The veteran is 9/5 to notch anytime.

Watford v Chelsea (7:30pm)

Chelsea know that they’ll drop out of the top four if they don’t match Arsenal’s result. But they’ve hit their first sticky patch under Maurizio Sarri, winning just four of their last 10 games in all competitions.

The Blues are 7/10 to pick up three vital points, although Watford are 11/10 as a Double Chance shot.

Whoever you fancy, these teams tend to produce goals against each other. There have been at least five goals in the previous three games between them, with one side getting four in each of those. Over 3.5 Goals is going for 7/4, with Over 4.5 rated at 21/5.

Sarri could shelve his experiment with Eden Hazard as a false nine here. Olivier Giroud is 11/8 to score, with Hazard himself 6/5.

Gerard Deulofeu was the star man as Watford won this fixture 4-1 last season. He’s got two goals in his last two outings and is 14/5 to get another.
