Laurina front-runner for Coral Ascot Hurdle glory - (2025)

If The Cap Fits sits second in the betting

Our traders have installed Laurina as the odds-on favourite for the Coral Ascot Hurdle this Saturday.

The five-year-old is 5/6 to win her fifth race in a row, ahead of If The Cap Fits (9/4) and Call Me Lord (10/3).

Samcro would have been a strong contender in the Grade Two contest, but he’s likely to be held back for next weekend’s Fighting Fifth Hurdle. He’s 5/2 second-favourite there, behind 6/4 shot Buveur D’Air.

“Although Samcro has been entered in the race, connections have already ruled him out. That leaves Laurina as a warm favourite to give trainer Willie Mullins a third win in the race, following Annie Power and Faugheen, who both obliged at odds-on,” said Coral's David Stevens.
