Latest ante-post betting odds for the 2019 Arkle Chase
Novice chaser Kalashnikov remains the comfortable favourite for the 2019 Arkle, after recording a winning debut over fences at Warwick.
Paul Murphy’s four-year-old bolted up by 11l over the 2m distance at odds of 1/4 to get his chasing career off to a flyer. He heads Mengli Khan and Paloma Blue in the ante-post betting for next year’s Arkle, with Getabird and Maria’s Benefit chalked up at 14/1 apiece.
“Kalashnikov is already a decent loser in the ante-post book, so his backers will have been delighted to see him make a winning start over fences, and he remains a strong Festival favourite despite a couple of entirely acceptable novicey leaps,” said Coral's David Stevens.
