Joe Tizzard: “We’re expecting another big outing from Lostintranslation.”

Latest exclusive insight from the Tizzard stables

Saturday – Sandown

12.40 – Beaufort West, Jaytrack Parkhomes & Little Vern

Beaufort West has shown a bit of form this season but he was disappointing at Newbury. He has had a few ulcers so he has been treated for them and he looks a lot better now.

He will get a handicap mark after this and is definitely a nice horse for the future.

Jaytack Parkhomes had some good bumper form and now needs to go racing over hurdles. He will come on for the experience here.

Little Vern was disappointing last time. He is much better than that. He is a baby who is going in the right direction.

1.50 – Vision Des Flos

This horse has had a wind operation and we are hoping that it will work out well for him. He will love the ground as all of his best form has been on Soft ground.

Obviously we have Buveur D’Air to beat here.  He certainly has the capability of being second behind him. We are still thinking about the Champion Hurdle for him so hopefully he runs well here.

2.25 – Lostintranslation

The top three in the race all stand their ground. Lostintranslation was very impressive at Cheltenham last time where he finished ahead of Defi Du Seuil.

We want to get another experience run in him. The track will suit. He’s a very good horse and we expect another big outing here. His next start will be in the JLT Novices’ Chase at the Festival.

3.00 – Padleyourowncanoe

He ran well in a Pertemps qualifier at Wincanton on Boxing Day. This is an identical race. He is in good form. It’s his first time over this trip but from what he has shown, we expect him to stay. He has a 10 pound claimer on his back so I would give him a good chance in an open race.

3.35 – Sandy Beach

It is an ultra-competitive race but he looks to be coming back to himself. The trip and track will suit him. He is still off a workable mark so we expect him to go well.

4.10 – The Brothers

We ran him at the wrong trip at Wincanton last time as 2m was too short for him. This slightly longer trip will definitely be more up his street.
