Buveur D’Air overtakes Samcro in Champion Hurdle betting

Samcro eased after Down Royal defeat
Buveur D’Air has returned to the head of the Champion Betting after Samcro’s shock defeat this afternoon.
With only four runners, Samcro had been expected to win the WKD Hurdle at the Down Royal Festival. However, Bedrock clinched a 12/1 win. Samcro’s chances at Cheltenham have now dipped to 4/1 (was 5/2).
That’s benefitted Buveur D’Air, who’s now the clear 3/1 favourite (was 7/2).
The well-backed Laurina is next at 5/1, ahead of her comeback run in next month’s Coral Hurdle at Ascot.
“Samcro's status as Champion Hurdle favourite lasted just a few days, with a surprise defeat to Bedrock seeing him eased back out to 4/1, with reigning champ Buveur D'Air once again clear at the head of the Cheltenham betting,” said Coral's David Stevens.
