Premier League Betting Tips – Week 31 - (2025)
Updated: 20/01/2025
Our columnists tip up their best picks for the weekend’s Premier League action
After a stellar week of European action we have just the five Premier League games this weekend, with FA Cup ties causing postponements across the board.
We’re having a look at it all – as ever – with a slight nod to the cup action also. Let’s get right into it.
Bournemouth vs Newcastle (Saturday, 3pm)
Newcastle (13/5) come into this tie with a few absences at the back, though a pretty solid form that – for a team threatened by relegation – can be traced back to to the start of the year.
Eddie Howe and his Bournemouth (21/20) side will be confident with the home advantage, given their opponents on Saturday have lost three and drawn one of their last four on the road.
They looked much better last time out with Callum Wilson in the side and should get the job done here.
West Ham vs Huddersfield (Saturday, 3pm)
It’s very hard to back a team like Hudddersfield (11/2) that are all but relegated already and have likely accept so as a collective.
Therefore, we just have to see value in West Ham (4/7). Pellegrini’s side are looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to Cardiff last week and, with home advantage, should breeze through.
Burnley vs Leicester (Saturday, 3pm)
First thing’s first – this has goals written all over it for us. There’s been plenty scored in recent fixtures involving both sides and we can see great value in over 2.5 total goals (EVS). BTTS (4/5) is brilliant value also.
Leicester (7/5) are fancied to take the three points here. Burnley (2/1) are off the back of three consecutive defeats while Brendan Rodgers recorded his first victory in charge of the Foxes at home to Fulham last week.
Not an easy one to predict, but expect goals and an away win.
Fulham vs Liverpool (Sunday, 2.15pm)
Especially after making light work of Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, Liverpool (1/4) are a very confident selection here.
Like Huddersfield, Fulham (10/1) are all but relegated and having lost their last six, have probably also admitted so.
Jurgen Klopp’s men would probably win this at half-strength, though since dropping to second in the table they’ll want to put the pressure on Manchester City and we see them getting a very early, commanding lead.
Everton vs Chelsea (Sunday, 4.30pm)
It’s fair to say Chelsea (10/11) are a very unpredictable team this season. One minute it’s looking a dead cert they’re going to miss out on the top four and Maurizio Sarri will be shown the door, the next they’re in a pretty good run of form.
Unfortunately for Everton (3/1), it’s more the latter. Also, they’ve won just one in their last eight at home in the league, so it’s hard to have much confidence in them here.
One thing that could benefit the Toffees is that the Blues played in Europe on Thursday and could be weakened, but we’re very much expecting them to the business here.
Elsewhere, in the FA Cup…
WATFORD to beat Crystal Palace (11/8)
MANCHESTER CITY to beat Swansea City (1/7)
MANCHESTER UNITED to beat Wolves (5/4)
MILLWALL to beat Brighton (5/2)
