Ronald Koeman could be key in our Manchester City vs Everton PredictionManchester City vs Everton Prediction and Preview for October 15, 2016 – Etihad Stadium

For Everton it has been easy going following their tough opener against Tottenham that ended in a 1-1 draw. Facing a slew of minions like West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, the Goodison Park boys managed four succesive wins since then. This is why Everton are sitting at 5th spot on the EPL table, despite a recent 0-1 loss to Bournemouth.

The Bournemouth defeat was Everton's only loss from 7 games. Evertonians rather would like to give credit to the club's improved standings to the new manager, Dutchman Ronald Koeman. Koeman faces his toughest Premier League encounter on October 15th when they visit the Etihad to play current League toppers, Manchester City. The defense consisting of Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams, Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman look energized under the new coach and will ensure that no goals are let in.

Everton have been stingy when it comes to conceding goals, just 5 so far, which is among the lowest of all Premier League teams. Yannick Bolasie, the new acquisition from Crystal Palace will need to show his prowess in the wings and act as a key feeder to the club's ace scorer, Romelu Lukakau.

Lukaku will surely try to exploit the chinks in the not very confident Manchester City defense that has conceded a goal in each of their 7 Premier League outings.

The prolonged absence of the rock solid Vincent Kompany at the back is still being felt as was evident when the Zabaleta-Otamendi-Stones-Kolarov combine could do little to stop a rampaging Tottenham at White Hart Lane a week ago. But the 0-2 loss to the Spurs could be considered an aberration and expect the likes of Aguero, Silva, Nolito and Navas to come at Everton guns blazing at the Etihad.

The Citizens' record against Everton in the last ten matches have been 5 wins, 2 losses and three draws, with a 3-1 victory for the hosts earlier this year at the Etihad.

Bookmakers are expecting a similar result emerging from Saturday's clash.
