English Premier League Preview – Leicester City vs Burnley Prediction Prediction – Sept 17, 2016 – KC Stadium
Leicester City's magic of the 2015-16 season seems to have deserted them this time around as they started off the Premier League on a disastrous note, losing 1-2 to Hull City. A well-fought draw with Arsenal at the Emirates and a 2-1 win over Swansea saw some signs of the Foxes making a comeback. But such hopes were punctured by a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield.
Barring a surprise 2-0 over Liverpool, Burnley have lost to Chelsea and Swansea and drawn with Hull, but have taken in less goals compared to Leicester, 5 against 7.
But the Foxes have an opportunity to regain their lost confidence when they host the lowly Burnley at the King Power Stadium this weekend. Shockingly enough, both clubs are on identical points on the table after 4 games. In fact, Leicester is a notch below their visitors on the 16th spot, thanks to a poorer goal average. The scoring abilities of men like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are nowhere to be seen with the Foxes getting just 4 goals from an equal number of outings so far. Despite Kasper Schmeichel's immense talent between the posts, the Foxes are just leaking goals.
Claudio Ranieri's men will be banking on history to give them the required edge over their opponents at the King Power stadium on Saturday. Leicester City have won 6 of the last 10 encounters with Burnley, drawn 3 and lost just one and the defeat dates way back to the 2010 – 11 season.
That also gives bookmakers the incentive to wager on a Leicester win.
