Not Much Between Djokovic and Nadal

Coach Carlos Moya is hoping that his charge Rafael Nadal can have a bit more luck on the “important points” against Novak Djokovic.
Rafael Nadal’s coach, Carlos Moya, feels fine margins will determine the winner of Sunday’s Australian Open final with Novak Djokovic (Djokovic 8/11, Nadal 11/10 – Match Betting).
The duo will square off in the Melbourne showpiece for the second time, having been involved in one of the greatest matches in Grand Slam history back in 2012.
Djokovic won a five-set epic on that occasion in a match that lasted five hours and 53 minutes and the crowd will hope for more of the same this weekend.
The pair have squared off 52 times in their stellar careers to date, with Djokovic holding a slender 27-25 advantage, and Moya admits that the Majorcan left-hander is up against one of the toughest players around.
“Obviously it’s the most challenging match he (Nadal) can have,” he said. “Mentally he has an edge when he plays any player, but not with Novak.”
Djokovic has held the edge on hard courts in recent years, winning the last seven encounters with the Spaniard while he took out the clay-court specialist in five sets at Wimbledon last summer (Djokovic 3-2 Set Betting – 9/2).
It has all the makings of another classic Down Under and Moya hopes that his man can get the rub off the green at critical moments to lift the trophy for a second time.
“I think these kind of matches come down to three or four points, like happened in Wimbledon,” he added.
“That day, most of these important points went Novak’s side. Here, if some of those points go our side, I believe Nadal will have the chance to win.”
Odds subject to change.
