Jamie Murray is hoping to win the US Open mixed doubles title for a third successive year when he takes to the court alongside Bethanie Mattek-Sands this evening (Match betting – Chan/Venus 5/4, Mattek-Sands/Murray 4/7).

The Scot has built a fearsome reputation in the doubles game while his brother, Andy, carved out a career in the singles division.

Jamie won the mixed doubles title at Flushing Meadows in 2017 with Martina Hingis before successfully defending that crown with Mattek-Sands last year.

He also lifted the men’s doubles trophy with Bruno Soares in 2016, having reached the final in 2015, so he is no stranger to showpiece matches in New York.

Murray and Mattek-Sands play top seeds Chan Hao-ching and Michael Venus in Saturday’s final after beating Sam Stosur and Rajeev Ram 6-3 6-1.

Later in the evening, Serena Williams will look to win a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title when she faces Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu in the women’s final (Match betting – Williams 1/3, Andreescu 9/4).

Williams controversially lost to Naomi Osaka in last year’s final and will undoubtedly be desperate to avoid another slip up on home soil.

Andreescu wasn’t even born when Williams won her first Grand Slam at the US Open back in 1999.

And Sunday’s showpiece has been confirmed after Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev came through their semi-finals (Match betting – Medvedev 9/2, Nadal 1/7).

Nadal defeated Italian Matteo Berrettini in straight sets 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 6-1, while Medvedev beat Grigor Dimitrov 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-3.
