It’s the standard operating procedure to put the team that just won it all in as the favorite, so it’s perhaps no surprise that the Cavaliers are the favorite to repeat as champion. It is worth remembering, though, that it has been a while since we saw a team win back to back National Championship titles, so it’s tough to say just how much value you are actually getting with this bet.

Duke are the perfect example of just how tough it is to win a national title. They came into the 2019 tournament as the overwhelming favorites to win it all, but they fell to Michigan State in the Elite 8.
The reason that they were such a strong favorite this year was because of the presence of Zion Williamson, but the big man will be a one and done player after declaring for the NBA draft. As the Blue Devils have proven over the years, though, they are always able to reload and deliver a great team year after year. They will certainly be strong again in 2020.
Kentucky Wildcats

Much like the Blue Devils, Kentucky are always among the early favorites, simply because they are a known college basketball powerhouse who always seem to be able to reload every single year.
Kentucky went into the 2019 tournament as a #2 seed, making it all the way to the Elite 8 before falling to Auburn. This is a team that frequently makes a deep run in the tournament, so look for them to come back even stronger in 202 as they look to go a little bit further than they did this time around.
Gonzaga Bulldogs

Again, we are looking At Another team that is traditionally strong year after year, so it’s safe to assume that we can expect more of the same in 202.
The Bulldogs went into this year’s tournament as a #1 seed and looked strong all the way to the Elite 8. That is where they ran into the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the team that went on to the National Championship Game before losing to Virginia. The Bulldogs are currently sitting at 10-1.
