Racing Postcast: ITV Racing from Ayr & Newbury | Scottish Grand National | Weekend Tipping

Updated: 17/11/2024

Maddy Playle is joined by Paul Kealy, David Jennings and Bet365's Niall O'Reilly for a look ahead to the racing at Ayr for the Scottish Grand National and at Newbury for the Greenham, both on ITV Racing.

On the show:
– Just a week on from the Grand National, the excitement continues north with the Scottish Grand National at Ayr. Often referred to as one of the biggest betting events of the year, the team get stuck into who they fancy.

– Unfortunately, Too Darn Hot misses the Greenham at Newbury this weekend due to an injury and goes straight to the 2,000 Guineas as a result. But it's the John Porter in which our team are sweet on one. Find out who.

– David Jennings was in awe on a recent trip to Aidan O'Brien's yard, but has that been factored into his tips this week? Paul Kealy isn't too convinced, however.

– Plus, the team tip the rest of their selections for the weekend and give their NAPs.

  1. Why would your want to listen to these gobshites they are just bookie hacks talking out thier arses

  2. irish national wont be any better

  3. dingo dollar and mister fisher and defoe are still running

  4. a poor scottish national -i made excuses for Vintage Clouds at Aintree as he was hyper and unsettled before the start he had to refocus and he couldnt but today no excuses bad jumping aroung first circuit then it improved it improved even further -I thought he was going to piss it but he fell away -not a national horse end of story –

  5. Mark Smith says:

Defoe is definitely beatable, you look at his form from last year and his two wins start of the season were against pretty weak opposition, the horses he beat have raced 37 times between them and only won 3 times, he's vulnerable to a group 1 horse which I think Young Rascal is, Young Rascal has a 3 from 3 record at Newbury and the only times he's been beaten are in the derby and his debut where he finished 2nd to a stablemate with previous racecourse experience, hope you all got on at 9/4 because I think his price will tumble.

  6. dingo dollar is the big lay -no chance

  7. Niel Mulholland will win Scottish national

  8. Luke Kelly says:

Cogry for the Scottish grand national for me 25/1 is a great price
