Race Preview

Jasour drops in class for this Listed contest and could prove hard to beat if returning to his best form.

Last seen competing in Group 1 company, he now takes a significant step down in grade and that alone makes him a major player. While not the easiest ride, his raw ability is clear, and if everything falls into place, he has the class edge over many of these rivals.

Spycatcher commands plenty of respect as last year’s winner of this race and arrives having ended last season in strong form. Proven over course and distance, he looks set to go well again and makes plenty of each-way appeal.

Montassib is another with strong credentials, having won this race in 2024 before going on to land the Haydock Sprint Cup. While he wasn’t at his best last season, a return to this venue could spark a revival and he cannot be dismissed lightly.

James’s Delight also enters calculations after a productive campaign that included a Group 2 success. He had excuses in this race last year and is capable of being involved if things fall more favourably this time.

Annaf is another to note after a Group 3 win last autumn. He wasn’t seen to best effect on his return and could step forward here, although he does carry a penalty.
