Greyhound Racing Tips – the best bets for Wednesday's midweek action at Doncaster
There is plenty of competitive Graded action for punters to get their teeth stuck into on Wednesday with a 12-race card at Doncaster. The meeting is of course adhering to strict social distancing guidelines and will be held behind closed doors.
However, you can watch both meetings through live streaming the action on your chosen device such as a laptop or phone. You can do this via a number of bookmaker apps which give you the opportunity to watch all of the action literally at your fingertips.
You don't even have to have a bet as with the new Watch & Bet initiative, all you need to do is login to your bookmaker account and you can watch every race for free.
We've previewed the action with our best bets to hopefully provide some fillip to your midweek entertainment. Tonight's action focused on graded racing.
This essentially means that all of the dogs running at the tracks are trained at Doncaster and run at the track most weeks.
The highest graded race is an A1 and this goes all the way down to a B5 which is one of the lowest form of action.
If successful in an A1 event, you may take the step up in grade and compete in Open Racing, which is the highest quality of greyhound racing.
Greyhound Racing Tips 12/08/2020 at Doncaster
We enjoyed three winners from six selections with last week's tips which included 11/8, 2/1 and 3/1 winning tips. We're hungry for more success this time around and are looking to be quick out of the traps with a number of fancies at the meeting.
We've also picked out our two best bets of the evening which are our most confident selections, these are called the NAP and Next Best.
6:09: Doncaster: Fagans Sapphire (Trap Five)
A competitive event, but this daughter of Superior Product shaped nicely on her return to A4 company last time out. She ran on in the closing stages to finish a good third and that bodes well for this assignment, given she has posted a number of excellent times this term.
6:28: Doncaster: Blakes Kestrel (Trap Five)
This is a cracking race in which narrow preference goes to Blakes Kestrel. The son of Head Bound returned to form with a smart performance last time out. Interestingly, he also winning form over trap six Keady Wonder in his back catalogue and a reproduction of his latest effort could make him tough to beat.
6:58: Doncaster: Drumcrow Nessa (Trap One)
Things haven't gone the way of this bitch of late, particularly when an unlucky second over course and distance on her penultimate start. However, punters continue to provide their support and her latest run can be forgiven after interference. She deserves another chance here.
7:18: Doncaster: Springwood Edel (Trap Five)
Springwood Edel let us down badly last week when meeting all sorts of trouble having been backed off the boards. Whilst he clearly has to trap better here, everything went wrong on that occasion and the promise of his penultimate still lingers in the memory and warrants our support once again.
7:36: Doncaster: Bellagio Bardot (Trap Six)
Bet of the evening. This bitch has struggled on her latest two starts, the latter coming in an A4 at the track. She bolted up on her latest start in a B5 and the return to this grade is a major positive
7:56: Doncaster: Ballymac South (Trap Two)
Very impressive on his first start at the track in this grade last time out. He broke smartly and held on gamely to register a short-head verdict. This is by no means a penalty kick but that effort was full of promise and he has plenty more improvement in the locker
8:38: Doncaster: Keady Rocket (Trap Six)
A confident selection. The son of Droopys Cain was an easy winner of a B3 last month and has shaped with promise in two runs in this grade, particularly on his latest start when meeting trouble in running. His times are consistent and he can make his presence felt here.
8:54: Doncaster: Dunham King (Trap Five)
Plenty to like about his last two starts in this grade. He showed good early last time before failing to hit the front, but stayed on again in the closing stages on that occasion. There is still plenty to come from this son of Kinloch Brae in this grade and he gets the vote.
9:12: Doncaster: Fantasy Tom (Trap Four)
A major player. Found B2 company too hot on his first start this month and was not disgraced last time out in a B3 when meeting trouble in running. He was an easy winner in this grade last month and if showing his customary good early, he should take plenty of beating with his draw sure to suit.
NAP (Best bet of the evening): 7:36: Bellagio Bardot
Next Best (Second chief fancy of the evening): 9:12: Fantasy Tom
