David Moyes' Hammers notched up their first win of the 2020-21 Premier League season when they handed out a shocking 4-0 defeat to a formidable Wolves side at the London stadium on Sunday.

The Hammers who had lost both their opening two games looked impressive right from the start, getting their first goal when Jarrod Bowen sent in a superb left-footed curler to the bottom corner from  a quick Pablo Fornal free-kick.

1-0 to the Hammers in the 17th minute. Bowen doubled his tally and lead for his side just after the break, jabbing in from close range from a Fornal effort that rebounded off the post.

Despite two-thirds ball possession, Nuno Santo's side failed to make any impact, testing

Hammers goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski only twice.

In fact it was West Ham who created more of the opportunities with Wolves keeper Rui Patricio forced to bring of saves from Michail Antonio and Tomas Soucek shots.

Wolves efforts were mostly restricted to those those taken from long-range with Pedro Neto attempting to curl one from the top of the area but flying wide.

The pressure on the Wolves was telling as Raul Jiminez diverted a glancing header from Soucek into his own goal for the hosts' third.

Substitute Sebastien Haller upped the pain for the Wolves with an injury time header in the 93rd minute to complete the rout.

The London stadium win saw West Ham move up eight places on the table to the 10th while the Wolves dropped to a lowly 16th.
