Rosler targeting 4/9 Chelsea’s weaknesses - (2025)

Malmo boss Uwe Rosler believes his side can cause Chelsea real problems when they meet in the Europa League last 32 on Thursday night (Malmo 8/1, draw 10/3, Chelsea 4/9 – Match Betting).
The Blues head to Sweden on the back of a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Rosler’s former club Manchester City in the Premier League.
Having watched the defeat to the Citizens and the hammering against Bournemouth, Rosler feels there are areas his team can exploit against Chelsea (4/1 – Europa League Outright) in their European clash.
“I don’t think we can take Chelsea on toe-to-toe in an open game. They can make it very difficult for a team like us with their pressing,” he told reporters.
“So it’s important we impress in the right areas, knowing where they will press us and how we can get out of their press. I think we will get opportunities.
“We watched the Bournemouth game [which Chelsea lost 4-0], who play in a similar shape to us. I have seen areas we can cause them problems.”
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to make a number of changes for the encounter with Malmo, with the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Olivier Giroud expected to feature.
England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has not travelled with the squad after he suffered a recurrence of a niggling back problem although he is expected to be available soon.
Defender Marcos Alonso has also remained in west London, with Sarri admitting the Spain international has been rested and has “no physical problem”.
The encounter at Malmo New Stadion will be the first time the Blues have faced Malmo although they are unbeaten in their four previous clashes with Swedish opponents (5/1 – Any Malmo Player To Score A Header #PickYourPunt).
Odds subject to change.
