Perisic gunning for a move to N7?

Ivan Perisic has reportedly been on the cusp of a move the red of Manchester United in this winter window, but he’s not on the verge of sealing a move to another Premier League giant in red.

Arsenal are interested in signing Perisic on loan and are evens with our traders to complete a deal, but it could turn out to be a move which sees their out-of-favour German star Mesut Ozil move in the opposite direction.

The Croat was left on the bench for Inter’s 1-0 defeat to Torino at the weekend, with the club’s director Giuseppe Marotta adding “Many players ask for a transfer. Perisic has expressed this desire, we must try to satisfy him.”

Idrissa Gueye not for sale

Everton boss Marco Silva has confirmed that the club have rejected a bid of around £22m from Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

The Parisians are in the market for a midfielder or two after losing out to Barcelona in the race to sign highly-rated youngster Frenkie de Jong, with Adrien Rabiot still on the cusp of leaving on a free at the end of his contract in the summer.

Silva confirmed in his pre-match press conference that their offer had been rejected, adding “He is a really important player to us, we don’t put players on the market. For clubs to buy our players, they have to look for the value of the player. I cannot see this price as the right value for the player.”

Tielemans to become a Fox?

Leicester are looking to bolster their midfield by signing Belgium international Youri Tielemans from AS Monaco.

Tielemans could be available for a transfer after the high-profile signing of Fabregas for the Monegasque side, so could see first-team opportunities more limited.

Foxes boss Claude Puel attempted to pour cold water on the rumours in his press conference, saying “He is a good player with good attributes but I have Adrien Silva with these attributes, a little different, but with the possibility to play box to box and I’m happy with Adrien.”

Oxford has no future under Pellegrini

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has reiterated his beliefs that Reece Oxford needs to look for a move away from the East London club in order to play.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Pellegrini answered a question on Oxford’s future by saying “He is a player that has already played in the Bundesliga and he has an option to continue improving, going on loan or sell. I think he must do it because he needs experience.”

Oxford has been linked with a permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt or Nottingham Forest for a rumoured £8m, or possibly loans to Borussia Monchengladbach, RB Leipzig or Borussia Dortmund.
