Leicester City vs West Brom – October 16, 2017 – King Power Stadium, Leicester – 20:00 hrs – EPL Preview

Coach Craig Shakespeare's Foxes find themselves only three places away from the bottom thanks to a string of five winless games. Leicester City are in a way unfortunate to have run into four top-grade teams very early in the Premier League season – viz. Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool and succumbed to defeats in all games. A solitary win over Brighton & Hove Albion and draws against Huddersfield Town and AFC Bournemouth have left them with just five points from their seven games.

Leicester Injuries

The Foxes now prepare to receive 10th placed West Bromwich at the King Power Stadium on Monday night. Ahead of the clash, Leicester are having to deal with injury issues – Wilfred Ndidi, the versatile back-cum-midfielder will miss out on the October 16 game owing to a hamstring injury. Robert Huth (center back), Ben Chilwell (left-back) and Matty James (midfield) look doubtful starters, too.

Leicester Players' Form Not Inspiring

Form-wise, Jamie Vardy (5 goals), Shinji Okazaki (3 goals) haven't been able to make any impact on Leicester's fortunes. Kelechi Iheanacho the 21-year old striker on loan from Manchester City is yet find a goal. Key mid-field playmaker, Riyad Mahrez, has been way below his best and the same goes for Christian Fuchs and Marc Albrighton.

West Brom Strikers out of Form

West Bromwich are surprisingly in the top half despite going through five games without a win. After wins in their two opening fixtures, victory seems to have eluded them altogether.

They have managed just seven goals from as many matches and none of their top scorers have more than a goal in their name.

Strikers Jay Rodriguez and Hal Robson-Kanu have been virtually ineffective in the past few matches. The Baggies have been quick to lose initiative as witnessed in their recent home game against Watford where two early goals by Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans were negated by the equalizers from visitors, Watford, in the 2nd half.

Who Will win Leicester City vs West Brom?

The one thing going for Leicester is that they have found the back of the net in six of their seven outings and there's every chance of them getting at least a couple at King Power. The Foxes tally of nine goals is the highest among all bottom half teams but a wobbly back-line have let them down by conceding as many as twelve so far.

The Baggies will bank on history when they visit the King Power stadium, a venue where they have never lost. But Tony Pulis's men have had a very poor record of scoring in their away games this season (just 2 from 3 outings).

Bookmakers seem to have done away with West Bromwich's good history at the King Power stadium and are wagering on a Leicester win. Moreover, compared to the kind of opposition the Foxes have had to face early on in the season, the Baggies look easier foes.
