Petr Cech has set his sights on Europa League glory with Arsenal as he prepares to hang up his boots at the end of the season (Arsenal 6/1 – Europa League Outright).

The 36-year-old has won 14 major trophies during his time with both the Gunners and old club Chelsea and would like to add one more before the curtain comes down on a glittering career.

Cech has lost his place to Bernd Leno in the Premier League but will start tonight’s round-of-32 Europa tie against BATE Borisov as he eyes the final (BATE 15/2, draw 4/1, Arsenal 2/5 – Match Odds).

“Of course that would be an ideal scenario for me to finish my career,” he said. “We prepare every day for every competition and this is what we are aiming for, we try to win every game and progress step by step, and as a club it is important for us to try and go as far as possible.

“Winning the Europa League is a great memory for everyone involved and, secondly, it can book you a place in the Champions League – so you can see, there is a lot to play for.”

Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey were not included in the squad that made the trip to Belarus.

Ozil has been back in training following illness but has still been left out, while Ramsey, who has just agreed to join Juventus, has a knee injury.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Granit Xhaka are back after missing Saturday’s Premier League win over Huddersfield.

However, the game comes too soon for centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who is still absent because of an ankle injury.

Odds subject to change.
