Going into Monday night's Molineux stadium game on the back of six defeats from their last seven Premier League outings, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool notched a significant 0-1 win over Wolves to rekindle hopes of finishing in the Top four.

Salah and Conor Coady had attempts thwarted at either end as the game picked up tempo. Adama Traore's teasing cross then was punched away by Alisson before the Wolves were denied a penalty as Alexander-Arnold's shove on Joao Moutinho inside the box went unpunished.

Traore stung Alisson's palms with a powerful effort while Patricio denied Mane at the other end as the game swung both ways. Salah thought he had put the match to bed when he slotted in after being put through from an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pass, but VAR ruled his effort offside.
