Wolverhampton 0 Liverpool 1 – Monday, March 15, 2021
Going into Monday night's Molineux stadium game on the back of six defeats from their last seven Premier League outings, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool notched a significant 0-1 win over Wolves to rekindle hopes of finishing in the Top four.
The evening commenced on a bright note for Wolves who were hoping to win back-to-back games at home for the first time this season. Nelson Semedo's fierce drive to the near post that drew a lunging save from Alisson marked a lively opening 5 minutes for the hosts.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago combined well in the midfield after 13 minutes before putting Sadio Mane through on goal, but the Senegalese was forced to shoot wide by an onrushing Rui Patricio.[/su_panel]
Liverpool kept producing chances as Mane again went close with a header that steered wide from an inch-perfect Trent Alexander-Arnold cross. Wolves had fleeting glimpses of the rival goal when Ruben Neves forced goalkeeper Alisson into a save from a free-kick and then flashed an attempt wide as half-time approached.
The Portuguese youngster featuring in only his second game after returning from a prolonged injury spell, squeezed a shot in at the near post which Patricio got his hands to but couldn't stop it from going in.
Salah and Conor Coady had attempts thwarted at either end as the game picked up tempo. Adama Traore's teasing cross then was punched away by Alisson before the Wolves were denied a penalty as Alexander-Arnold's shove on Joao Moutinho inside the box went unpunished.
Traore stung Alisson's palms with a powerful effort while Patricio denied Mane at the other end as the game swung both ways. Salah thought he had put the match to bed when he slotted in after being put through from an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pass, but VAR ruled his effort offside.
