Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone has confirmed Jalen Ramsey and Cam Robinson will be ready to play against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night (Jaguars 21/20, Titans 4/5 – Money Line).
The Jags have endured a slow start to the season, losing their opening two games to Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans.
Sunday’s game against the Texans was a nail-biter, with Marrone’s men losing 13-12 on home soil.
Ramsey, who has started the last 51 games for the Jaguars, reportedly asked for a trade after the defeat.
It is alleged the cornerback, the fifth overall pick in the 2016 draft, is still open to a switch, but he is now set to start Thursday’s game.
Robinson will return at left tackle, after missing the first two games of the season with a knee problem.
Swing tackle Cedric Ogbuehi is also set to return, but Josh Oliver and D.J. Alexander will miss the contest.
Marrone has come under pressure after overseeing an 0-2 start, but he claims the team are focused and they have moved on from their latest defeat.
He told reporters: “Jalen and I have always had a good, open relationship where we’ve always been able to talk. We sat down yesterday, and we talked about what’s gone on as far as he and I.
“It’s like anything else in this profession: it’s behind us now. His focus is on playing and doing the best job for his teammates. My job is to be able to do the best job for the team.
“That’s behind us right now.”
The Titans have also got injury doubts, with quarterback Marcus Mariota hoping to overcome a quad injury. He needed strapping to get through Tuesday’s practice, but he was confirmed as a full participant.
Wesley Woodyard, David Fluellen, Chris Milton and Kevin Pamphile all missed practice and are doubts for Thursday’s game. Mariota is one of four quarterbacks not to throw an interception in the first two games, and he is 10/11 to throw for over 199.5 yards.
