My Belle Jodee (1) is turned out again quickly after a fine fourth in a better event eight days ago. Not only does she drop in class but she has a recency edge over the likes of Icy Hot Miss (2). She’s not raced since breaking her maiden at Canterbury Park last August.

Maryblueeyes (2) is strictly the gal to beat dropping in class after two fair efforts in tougher company at Sam Houston. She may be well bet if not overbet and Smooth as Bourbon (4) could offer a bit of value. She made a fine comeback at The Fair Grounds last month and does sport three victories at Will Rogers Downs.

Race 4 19.45

Ensign (5) ran like a drain when favourite at Delta Downs last month. It will be no surprise if she rebounds now running for hot trainer Karl Broberg. Shaker Baker (2) could be a playable alternative. He comeback run over a distance too short had a look of a dress rehearsal. Money run today?

Race 5 20.15

Play At the Plate (2) is lightly raced and improving but lacks a start this term. Preference is for stablemates Sergios Limoncello (4) and Take Charge Easy (6) who are race fit and come out of competitive races at Oaklawn Park. At It Early (3) who made an encouraging return can’t be discounted.
