Simply the best as Turner produces her usual Shergar Cup magic

Hayley Turner (above) once again lit up the Shergar Cup at Ascot this Saturday when landing a double on the card, much to the delight of a trio of Scoop6 punters who each landed £52,263.90.

Twelve units remained going into the final contest, spread across five selections, but in an event that Turner is close to making her own, she landed her second winner of the day aboard Sapa Inca.

They combined to beat Never Do Nothing, also covered by three tickets, into second.

The trio of winners will now look to add the £458,409 bonus fund to their haul if they can choose the winner of a selected race next Saturday.

Eddystone Rock (13/2) gave Hayley Turner her first winner in the opening leg at Ascot before Tim Easterby’s Mikmak got the better of his stablemate at Haydock in leg two at 8/1 to leave 275 units in play.

Indianapolis took the third leg to whittle those down to 34 before favourite backers rejoiced as Miss O Conner (11/10f) and Power of Darkness (11/4f) took legs four and five to leave 12 tickets heading into the lucky last, and an eye on that £156,791 win fund.
