Mahomes Keeping Cool Ahead Of Colts Clash - (2026)

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes is adamant the Chiefs will try and stick to the game plan that has served them well all season, as they prepare to welcome the Indianapolis Colts to the Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City 4/9, Indianapolis 15/8 – Match Betting).
Saturday’s encounter sees a Colts side who secured a 21-7 victory on the road at the Houston Texans in the first wildcard round of the playoffs, take on a Chiefs outfit that have been tipped up for great things all season.
Kansas City finished the regular season at the top of the AFC West with a 12-4 record and now all eyes are on what the Chiefs can achieve in the playoffs.
Of course, much of the attention is on 23-year-old Texan Mahomes (8/13 to throw a touchdown pass in each half #PickYourPunt), who is getting set for the biggest game of his career to date.
However, the youngster appears to be remarkably calm about Saturday’s arrival of Indianapolis and feels that if the side trust the process that has got them to this stage, then they won’t go too far wrong.
He told reporters: “It’s single elimination, it’s an intensity that you go into knowing you have got to put your best foot forward and we know that.
“But at the same time we’re going to be ourselves, we’re going to do what we’ve done all season long and try to execute at a high level and try and win a football game.”
