Racing enthusiasts from across the globe will turn their attention to the UK this week as Royal Ascot Festival captures hearts and minds.
Even the most casual fan might have a flutter on their favourites as horse racing takes centre stage.
And conditions are good despite the severe amount of rain the UK has experienced in the last week.
Speaking on Wednesday morning, Clerk of the Course Chris Stickels said: “We are forecast possible further showers during the day but we were fortunate to miss most of the heavy showers overnight.”
Wednesday's Royal Ascot course conditions:
Straight Course: Good to Soft (from Soft at the end of racing on Tuesday)
Round Course: Soft, Good to Soft in places (from Soft at the end of racing on Tuesday)
On day two of the festival all eyes were on Nicola Currie, who was out to become just the second woman ever to ride a winner at Royal Ascot.
She rode Raising Sand to third place in the Royal Hunt Cup.
Express Sport will be here to bring you all the results as they happen throughout the next few days, with the winners and places from day two below.
